Busted pot growers mistake wardens for suppliers

RED BLUFF, Calif. (AP) - California wildlife officials say two men are in custody after a group of marijuana growers started to toss bags full of pot into a pickup truck belonging to game wardens they mistook for their suppliers. State Department of Fish and Game spokesman Pat Foy says two wardens in Tehama County were looking for deer poachers Monday night in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest when they heard footsteps behind them.

They turned and saw five men hauling large military-style duffel bags and sleeping bags. Foy said the men approached the wardens' truck as if to toss the bags in the bed.

The wardens began shouting commands at the group and managed to handcuff two, one of whom was carrying a shotgun. Three others escaped into the forest.

The wardens recovered 127 pounds of processed marijuana.

What I do like with Quake Live is that it uses a type of hitscan/unlag in the net code.

It seems to play smoother with less lag spikes.    Don't like the no auto thaw and no froze specing.

                               i notice after their big update my video settings reset everytime i join a server.
         i have to change back to 800 x 600  4:3 evrytime .....


       who knows what else changed that i dint take  notice to yet   haha.


 one day maybe canadian will invite me to a freeze server with people on it


 so far i like q3 ufreeze best by far.


                   

Q live is out of beta and will offer a pay Quake Live which includes Freeze Tag and other goodies, and a Premium package.

I'll give the Freeze Tag a try.

Finally.....Hope it's like UFT!!!

The game industry is itching for some innovation IMO.  The most creative and intriguing game design I've seen lately has been on the dang iphone.

          i havent really played any game that captured my interest like quake 3 freeze.
battlefield vietnam is all and now quake live wich plays very close to q3 and playas in a browser.

Can't remember any one about my age being so immature in the Quake world!  OMG!


If he plays me 1vs1 and he starts losing he will start suiciding or just leave.   If I come to the server and I enter he leaves..man what a baby!    : )
